As a child, my mom would take me to the Indian theatre almost every weekend. After a while, I fell in love with Indian cinema, outfits, and jewellery. I was always so fascinated by the dangly earrings and sparkly outfits that I would beg my mom (a seamstress) to make clothing similar to the ones in movies for me. The clothing came by easily because she made them, but the jewellery was a bit of waiting.

I got my first pair of dangly earrings when I was 11 years old, but I remember them like it was yesterday. Gold, sparkly strands, studded with rhinestones, oh man, I was in love. These were special earrings, they were a part of my outfit to attend a very "fancy" wedding where everyone was well dressed. I got so many compliments on those earrings that I knew right at the point that my life will be filled with sparkly earrings.

Since then my taste in earrings has evolved to even more dramatic and "extra" as they have been called lol. In fact, every aspect of my life is extra, my clothing, shoes, jewellery, even my home decor. Friends visiting my place for the first time would look at my decor and say "OMG, you're so girly", YES, I AM and I love it! I love being different and trendy. I think my taste is unique and is changing every day and I love it!

My love for costume jewellery started from a very young age and it's a part of who I am. Now I own more costume jewellery than real ones.
